Clever Solar Devices receives €1.2 million to digitize photovoltaic maintenance

15.05.2025

The Spanish Ministry for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge (MITECO) has awarded Clever Solar Devices a €1.2 million grant under the incentive program for New Business Models in the Energy Transition, financed through the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan (PRTR).

The funding covers 100% of the eligible project costs, and supports the development of an advanced technological platform for the digitalization and intelligent management of photovoltaic (PV) system maintenance. This solution aims to improve operational efficiency, reduce maintenance costs, and optimize plant performance through predictive, data-driven maintenance.

The project is based in Cirujales del Río (Soria, Spain) and highlights Clever Solar Devices’ strong commitment to technological innovation and the creation of skilled jobs in rural areas, with at least seven new positions expected to be created.

The grant is part of Line C of the program, which supports startups that are driving innovative and sustainable solutions within the energy transition. It is also integrated into the PERTE ERHA (Strategic Project for Renewable Energies, Renewable Hydrogen and Storage), a major initiative that will mobilize over €16.3 billion in public and private investments to strengthen Spain’s leadership in clean energy.

With this support, Clever Solar Devices continues to advance its mission to transform the photovoltaic sector with cutting-edge technology, contributing to a more secure, distributed and resilient energy model.
